Baltimore County Announces Crime States for 2010

May 5, 2011, Baltimore County, Maryland has announced their crime stats for 2010.  The Baltimore County police announced there were drops in all eight major crime categories.

• Homicides in Baltimore County in 2009 were 31 and in 2010 were 20, that depicts a 35.5% decrease.
• Rapes in Baltimore County in 2009 were 152 and in 2010 were 126, that depicts a 17.1% decrease.
• Robberies in Baltimore County in 2009 were 1,471 and in 2010 were 1,335, that depicts a 9.2% decrease.
• Aggravated Assaults in Baltimore County in 2009 were 2,879 and in 2010 were 2,824, that depicts a 1.9% decrease.
• Burglaries in Baltimore County in 2009 were 4,282 and in 2010 were 4,089, that depicts a decrease of 4.5%.
• Thefts in Baltimore County in 2009 were 19,258 and in 2010 were 17,817, that depicts a decrease of 7.5%.
• Motor Vehicle Thefts in Baltimore County in 2009 were 2,404 and in 2010 were 1,859, that depicts a decrease of 22.7%.
• Arsons in Baltimore County in 2009 were 257 and in 2010 were 220, that depicts a decrease of 14.4%.
• Total crime in Baltimore County dropped from 64,921 in 2009 to 60,199 for 2010.  That is a 7.3% decrease.
